Bob Copeland joined MGSS from the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada) where he acted as the director of athletics, and associate vice-president for Development and Alumni Affairs. Copeland served in senior board level capacities with Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) where he held the role of vice-president, Marketing and Communications. Copeland is considered a leader in the integrity and clean sport movement in Canada and was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Taylor Hooton Foundation (Dallas, Texas). He served on Canada’s National Task Force on the Use of Performance Enhancing Drugs in the Sport of Football (2011) and has led a variety of important anti-doping initiatives in Canada.
Copeland started his career as a sponsorship and event management specialist with Branada Sports Communications in Toronto. He is a published author in the areas of sponsorship and event management and a special lecturer at the University of Waterloo.
