Hassan Al-Ibrahim is Chief, Tourism Development Sector at the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) responsible for policy, planning, regulation, product development, and investment promotion across Qatar’s tourism sector. Prior to his current positon, he was Director of Strategy for QTA. For over six years, Mr. Al-Ibrahim worked in the oil and gas industry, first as a Systems Analyst and then as a Senior Marketer for RasGas. He also co-founded FIKRA Consulting and Research, a policy and research institute focused on social and economic issues relevant to Qatar and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Mr. Al-Ibrahim has extensive experience in project management, the development, implementation and monitoring of national and institutional strategic plans, performance management systems, customer relations, and quality assurance programs. He received a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from University of Portsmouth and a Master’s of Science in Project Management from University of Manchester. Mr. Al-Ibrahim was chosen as a delegate for Qatar Leadership Centre’s Rising Leaders program from 2011-2013 and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at HEC Paris.
